Small Groups & Bible Studies
Doing Life Together...
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Every day they continued to meet together
in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with
glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.
And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. — Acts 2:42, 46-47
Small Groups & Bible Studies are where the people of Hillsdale "do life together."
No matter your walk in life, everyone needs the wisdom of God to make it in this self-centered, misguided, busy world in which we live. At Hillsdale, we believe with God’s help, through Christian disciplines of Bible study, prayer, and community, we not only just “make it,” we overcome!
Small Groups are a first step toward a more rewarding life of answers, peace, and purpose instead of simply questions, chaos, and confusion.
We urge you prayerfully to consider launching a new phase in your spiritual life by joining one of our Small Groups. You will not regret your choice to draw closer to God through the intentional study of His word in fellowship with other believers!

Here are just a few of our Small Groups opportunities
- Sunday Studies: Offered during the worship services on Sunday mornings, adults of all ages are invited to drop in.
- Disciple I - Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study: An annual “foundational” class led by Pastor Jerry Webb that takes you through the entire Bible during the school year.
- Churchwide Bible Studies: Special churchwide small group studies 2 times a year held in homes, at the church and other locations.
- Marriage Enrichment Seminar: Annual workshop led by Pastor Jerry Webb each year, the seminar concludes with an optional weekend retreat.
- Short-Term Studies: Offered regularly throughout the year, ranging from studies of books of the Bible to topics like parenting or discussion groups of recently published books.
- Young Adults: Fellowship and Bible Study for young adults. ATTIC: Adults Together Trusting in Christ is our College + group.
- M&M's (Mom's in Ministry) - A Young Adult group meeting for fun, fellowship and ministry projects.
- Men’s Ministries: Men of all ages engage in a wide range of growth and fellowship activities, from Friday morning breakfasts and golf outings to retreats, special events and projects.
- Women’s Ministries: The women of Hillsdale engage in at least two in-depth studies each year from recognized leaders like Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, and Kay Arthur. An annual Ladies Retreat is a time of fellowship and intensive spiritual formation.
- Purpose Groups: At Hillsdale, we define a Purpose Group as a type of Small Group where people meet regularly in a home regularly for study, fellowship, and accountability. Purpose Groups engage in Bible and discipleship studies, in service and missions projects, and in fun, food, and fellowship. At Hillsdale, we have many, many people who are eager to join a Purpose Group and take their spiritual journey and Christian relationships to a new level. Please prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to offer your home as a host location for meetings or to be a facilitator for a new Purpose Group.
- Study Curriculum: Hillsdale has a library of valuable resources for spiritual growth. Gather your friends together and start your own Small Group to explore the rich rewards of studying God’s precepts in a group setting.
