Hillsdale UMC participates monthly to the provide food and health items for families in need in Davie County. Please check the specially marked basket located in the lobby
for a list of needs. Drop your items in the baskets
any time during the month.
Thanksgiving
Hillsdale will again partner with A Storehouse for Jesus
to provide entire Thanksgiving meals to Davie County Residents.
We will bring everything needed for the recipient to prepare a complete meal in their homes. Meals will be accepted on Sunday, November 13, until 1:30 pm.
Our goal is to bless 65 families! Please sign up at the Welcome Center.
Below is the list of suggested components:
• Turkey, Turkey Breast or Ham (fresh or frozen)
• Canned Sweet Potatoes or Fresh Sweet Potatoes
• Instant Potatoes or Fresh Potatoes
• 2 cans Green Beans
• 2 cans Corn
• Applesauce
• Muffin Mix (Cornbread, Blueberry, Cranberry, Strawberry, etc.
• Dessert (Jell-O Cheesecake Mix, Cake Mix and Icing, Brownie Mix, etc.) (Please no frozen or refrigerated desserts)
Christmas
For 18 years A Storehouse for Jesus has provided Christmas Gifts for needy children,
seniors and special needs adults, and each year Hillsdale participates
in the "Little Lambs", "Senior Stars" and " Shepherds".
