Even in exerting our best effort, the holiday season can tend to be one tangled with frantic busyness. Half our Christmas shopping list has yet to be fulfilled, and we're putting a little too much faith in Amazon Prime two-day shipping. Our children have plays and pageants and practices to attend on top of their already full schedules. The in-laws are coming over for a holiday dinner and the house needs to be spotless. December ushers in a month of awe and wonder, and just so happens to leave the door open for stress in abundance.
While I love the glitz and glam of a New York Christmas tune, we wanted to offer up an understated, more simplistic version of some of our favorite Christmas hymns. We've created something, not to overstimulate, but to encourage calm reflection during this season. Quiet Songs for Christmastime places emphasis on the grandiosity of the message - Christ has come.
